*The reason I prefer the phone is simply about the exchange of energy. I find the phone to be the best option to allow an energy to energy exchange. When we are in a session I am paying close attention to my client’s energy around a topic. It is amazing how the phone can allow both of us to take away any distraction and hear the “unspoken” nuance.

Speaking

I love the opportunity to connect with groups in person. I am currently accepting bookings for my talk on Grief Recovery.  There are over 40 significant losses we can experience in a lifetime and when we don’t take correct action to deal with our grief it can create a lot more damage.  Grief is a topic off limits and yet it’s inevitable for all of us and should be taught in schools so we all understand how to heal from it.

  • Contact me to book your lunch & learn, have me attend an office meeting or be a part of your company retreat.
  • Ask me about other topics I offer.

It’s all about you.

Ken Forster - CFO

The saying goes “when the student is ready the teacher will appear”. Having experienced many different types of coaching events I am here to say Jen Kerkado, the founder and master of Commit to Explore has a gift – the powerful presence to listen and guide you to see beyond the longing for something more that eludes so many of us. My first program with Commit to Explore, that included morning meditation, setting intention, paddle board yoga and a strong sense of community was life changing. I had no idea what to expect and I was a bit nervous to say the least. However I came away that day feeling raw and real. After years of devotion to family and work I am left wondering what’s out there for me. Jen balances tough grit and gentle guidance with love and grace – and through her I have chosen to Commit To Explore! Jump in…you will thank yourself down the line!

Jen is so incredibly positive, inspirational , transformational and REAL! What you see is what you get with Jen. She is not just there to help guide you on your journey, but shows that she is in this with you – not just as a coach and mentor, but as a human who is on her own journey also.

Heather Vickers - Mortgage Loan Officer

Making the decision to work with Jen was an easy one. For 8 years I have struggled with my weight and my self-image. I had tried many programs and diets with very little success, and quickly learned that what was missing was the accountability and the knowledge that this is a lifestyle change, NOT a diet.  Jen is so positive, motivating, and caring and I learned a lot about myself on this journey.  At the end of the 90 Day Intensive, I had refocused my mind on healthy eating, moving my body, and I lost 15 pounds in the process. I am very excited to be starting another 90 Day session with Jen!

Since beginning my work with Jen earlier this year, she has been a fabulous coach. She exhibits a unique sense of interest in my life and her insights and direction are always on target. I feel very supported in the attainment of my goals. She has been a vital resource to me and I look forward to our continuing relationship.

Change & Evolve Coaching

Jen is a fabulous coach! She is real, down to earth, highly intuitive and extremely caring. I always left each session with a new insight and tangible action step to increase my personal growth. One of these action steps was creating a morning ritual for myself and I have followed this routine for 2 months straight and it has changed my life. By taking time for myself each morning I start my day off grounded, in tune with my body, and positive. I have experienced new confidence in myself as my body becomes stronger and tighter through daily
Movement. I have also developed a closer, deeper bond with my husband, as I open up and become more vulnerable. The universe has opened up to me and shown me possibilities I never knew existed. Thank you Jen for being you and allowing me to become the best version of me.

Jen is an absolute burst of refreshing energy to wake you up from the auto-pilot slumber you’re walking through life. Before she even applies her skill, attention and love of coaching, she impacts and transforms you through her infectious enthusiasm for life. Layer that with her absolute dedication to mastery, service and integrity, Jen is an absolute force of nature to help you transform your life into one that is absolutely filled with fulfillment, joy and external success.

Vanessa Broers- Life Coach

I had the honor and privilege to work with Jen Kerkado recently to help me in my grieving process. I lost my mother in 2018 and proceeded to push my feelings down in many destructive (but at that time, useful) ways. In working through the grief recovery method with her, I was able to not only move through the grieving process, but understand more about loss, grief, and life. Grief and loss are painful and we naturally want to avoid pain. This process allowed me to feel the grief and pain, but also release it. When my mom passed, “Stewball” by Peter, Paul, & Mary was playing. I had tried so many times after her death to listen to that song, and I simply could not. I would weep uncontrollably and quickly turn it off. After completing the loss of my mom with Jen’s guidance, I tested myself. I put “Stewball” on the record player and sang along to the entire song. Did I miss my mom, yes, without a doubt, but I felt the love and the fun that we had rather than the pain and anguish of the loss. I will always miss my mom (and the other’s I’ve lost before her and those I’ll lose after), but with the tools I was given through the grief recovery method, I know I’m in a much better position to deal with the losses in a healthy way. My relationship with my mom was unique, no one will ever truly understand my personal loss, but I understand it so much better now. I could not have done this without the love and guidance of Jen. She truly is a heart with ears.

Thank you Jen, for your continued love and support. I don’t think I would have gotten through my coach training or my grief process without your honest and kind heart!

Rebecca Halprin

When I began thinking of working with Jen regarding dealing with my personal grief, I had no idea of the journey I was about to begin. I had recently experienced a major health issue and became concerned about my own mortality. I thought that I could work through my stages of grief with Jen.

Well, was I ever wrong. The so-called stages of grief do not exist. Rather by working with Jen, I discovered more about myself, and my own misconceptions. I have used anger, food, and sometimes alcohol as short term relief methods. I have also thought about what I could or should have done differently or better.
In doing the work each week, I found that by identifying my own personal loss and relationship history and communicating with Jen, enabled me to really focus on my grief. Sharing my story with Jen and having Jen share her story with me was most powerful and emotional. I remember calling Jen one night because I was struggling with identifying my most important loss. Jen reminded me that what we think is most important to us, in my case – my health, may not be what truly is causing my pain.

I then came to the realization this was not about my health, but my incomplete relationship with my exwife. Once I realized and accepted that, I was able to begin healing. I was able to accept what had happened, apologized for the things I had done and also to forgive her for hurting me. This was hard work. It is not like suddenly you can flip a switch and the light comes on. It is more like you find a panel of switches, figure out the right one to turn on and then decide if you want that room to stay lit.

When I wrote my personal completion letter to my ex, the decision I made was to keep that light burning brightly. I had completed that relationship.
Working with, communicating with, sharing with, being vulnerable with, are some of the reasons why I contacted Jen to help me with my struggle.

Her honesty, her personality, her openness, her compassion, as well as her passion to help others, are what makes Jen who she is, and why I call her my friend.
